Milk Makeup Product Archive

What was your introduction to Milk Makeup? The US brand launched in 2016, later expanding its products to the United Kingdom in 2019. Its sleek and minimal packaging felt cool to teenaged me, and I barely resisted the urge to coat myself in their holographic highlighter. Milk felt futuristic to me, and I loved how different it was compared to more glam, feminine brands. This page will dive into the previous product releases made by Milk, and likely will not cover products still being produced (yet).

When the brand first opened it released a wide range of products, featuring: lip stains, matte lipsticks, mascara, eye pigments, concealer duos, brow pencils, balm tints, a face oil, and MORE! This initial release by the brand had a whopping 85 products! I've done my best to compile all of them below.

Spray Nail (March 2016)

In spring of 2016, Milk released three shades of their Spray Nail, a spray-on nail polish. In general, these received surprisingly positive reviews for such a strange trend (or maybe I'm just out of the polish loop?) The three spray polishes also seem to have been accompanied by a spray on nail polish remover. The shade names are:

Sunshine Skin Tint (June 2016)

Building on the success and positive reception of their previous Sunshine Oil, Milk released a foundation/skin tint that came in 8 shades.

Liquid Strobe (January 2017)

Three shades of this liquid highlighter were produced:

Shown as listed above.

Ultraviolet Holographic Stick (July 2016)

Lip Metals (December 2016)

Milk's Lip Metals were a line of metallic liquid lipsticks that originally came in two shades, but later expanded to include a third and fourth. Note the component change-- I've never even seen the version of this product with a brush-on component before! Anyway, the four shades are:

Buffy and Slayer (old component)

From top to bottom: Angel, Buffy, Slayer, Willow

Day & Night Goals Eye Quads (Spring 2017)

In spring of 2017, Milk released two eye quads that received very mixed reviews. One quad was warmer in color, named Day Goals. The cooler palette was named Night Goals.

Mars Holographic Stick & Lip Glosses (April 2017)

In spring 2017 Milk went big by more than doubling the amount of holographic products they offer. A new, golden shade of the holographic stick in Mars was released along with a holographic lip gloss version by the same name. Ultraviolet, although it already had a stick, was also released as a holographic lip gloss at this time.

Glitter Stick in Techno (June 2017)

The first glitter stick by the brand, the shade Techno was a popular release. Milk also donated half the funds from the glitter stick sales to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center for Pride 2017.

Holographic Highlighting Powders (July 2017)

Only shades in Mars and Ultraviolet were released at this time.

Holographic Dab + Blend Applicator (Late July 2017)

Remember this trend? The "sponge" came with a little carrying bag as well.

Holiday 2017 Releases (October 2017)

The 2017 Milk holiday products were released in mid-October, and brought with them several new products! The two brand-new releases were the Holographic Powder Quad and Glitter Glaze Quad, but two mini sizes of the Holographic Sticks in Mars and Supernova were also made available.

Face Gloss Expansion (March 2018)

With this release, Milk expanded their face gloss line to include gold and holographic shades.

Glitter Stick Expansion (March 2018)

Another line expansion with additions of a Mars and a Supernova glitter stick.

This was only released in the one shade.

Kush Brow Gel (June 2018)

The second addition to the Kush line, this brow gel came in four shades:

Flex Concealers & Lip Vinyls (July 2018)

18 shades of the Flex Concealer were released at this time, along with 6 shades of the Lip Vinyls.

Kush Lip Balm & Lip Glazes (December 2018)

The Kush Lip Balm was released in one shade, "Green Dragon". The Lip Glaze was released in the shade "Chronic". Both apply clear to the lips with no color or tint.

Cooling Water Eye Patches (June 2019)

Each pack contains 6 pairs of eye patches.

Flex Foundation Stick & Highlighters (August 2019)

The Flex Foundation sticks came in 36 different shades, and the highlighters came in 4 shades:
